"Hiking for Nepal" is a project that is close to our hearts!

The aim is to promote Namasté Gumda by walking across Switzerland, the aim being to connect the 4 cardinal points of our country to the central point located in the canton of Obwalden. During the winter season, it will mainly be a matter of travelling the plain, then taking advantage of the summer season for the mountainous stages.

Everyone can join us for one or more stages, knowing that it is not a question of doing everything in succession, but of distributing the stages throughout the year according to snow and weather conditions. Each stage averages 20 to 25 Km real (28Km effort) for an average time of 5h30 per day. For those who cannot complete the entire course, we will propose you to join us as far as possible at mid-course. The stages usually start and end at a station or at least near a public transport stop.

To participate, choose one or more steps from the list of choices and register via our online form, specifying the steps you are interested in. The time and place of departure and arrival will be communicated to you by the organizer and also registered on the "Current Steps" page of our website. As the steps are online, we strongly recommend the use of public transport.

The registration fee is free, everyone can give what they want, however our objective being to raise funds, we would appreciate it if each walker could pay a symbolic amount, for example CHF 1.00 per km travelled. All the funds collected are naturally intended to finance the association's projects.

Participants are responsible for the costs of transportation, accommodation, food and insurance.

Feel free to contact us if you need more information.

4 steps, 1 canton & 509 Cumulative kilometres travelled to date

The Hiking for Nepal jackpot amounts to CHF 770.-
